30" (76 cm.) Bisque socket head with very delicate complexion, pear-shaped face, very deep pale blue glass paperweight eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, pretty silk dress and bonnet. Condition: bisque excellent, body is heavily repainted, body is original except for lower arms and hands which are replaced. Marks: Sch (in shield) 8. Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: very beautiful face with finest bisque and painting, luminous eyes.
