Description
21" (53 cm.) All-cloth doll with socket head, slender face, pressed and oil-painted facial features, shaded brown eyes with double white eye dots, thick brown and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with pursed lips, blonde center-part human hair, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany 285 (right foot) Kathe Kruse 2980 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, type VIII, circa 1930. Value Points: fine original painting and condition, wearing antique nurse's costume which may be original.
