Description
The person-sized uniform jacket is of vibrant red wool with navy blue woolen cuffs and collar, and having elaborate embellishments of gold soutache embroidery, metallic gold banding, and gilded brass buttons with harp or lyre raised designs. The jacket is quilt lined. There is some dustiness and few spots, few small moth holes, indications that epaulets once graced the shoulders, but overall very good. Early 1800s.
