Description
22" (54 cm.) Bisque socket head, deeply-defined eye sockets, painted dark blue eyes, thick upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open, shaded lips, two beaded upper teeth, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, well-costumed in sailor suit. Condition: professional restoration at left of left eye to temple, otherwise excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: K*R 112 54. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, from their art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: excellent detail of modeling with well-defined features, fine bisque and painting on the rare character.
