18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, open mouth, accented lips, row of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black human hair in elaborately-arranged traditional coiffure, cork pate, French composition and wooden body jointed at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1895. Value Points: beautiful bisque on the all-original child, wearing original burgundy kimono with embroidered flowers over coral silk under-kimono with ribbon trim, green silk trousers, silk shoes with ribbon banding, and elaborate headdress with tinsel, metallic and bead trim.
