18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with solid dome,rich dark brown complexion with painted black baby hair and brows,tiny brown glass sleep eyes,painted dark lashes,accented nostrils,closed mouth with very full lips,pierced ears,brown composition baby body,wearing original grass skirt and hoop earrings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach Koppelsdorf 399-3-DRGM. Comments: circa 1920,from the firmås series marketed as "South Seas Babies". Value Points: rare large size with superb detail or sculpting and rich complexion.
