10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead depicting man with black complexion, enamel eyes, black painted brows and sculpted tightly-curled hair, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted black stockings, red slippers with black outlines, wearing original costume comprising striped cotton shirt under gold silk tunic, gold sash, cotton striped short harem pants and draped turban. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, exceptional sculpting especially for smaller figure.
