Description
19" (48 cm.) A black tin and metal cage rests above a wooden base with columned sides which contains mechanism, and a wooden handle is at the side. Inside the cage is a blue and gray feathered bird which is perches a blue and grey feathered bird with bead eyes. When wound, the bird chirps in a realistic bird-song manner, and then flits side to side, waving his tail feathers, and opening and closing his beak. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1860. Value Points: fine early model of singing bird in cage with lovely sound.
