9" (23 cm.) l. 8"h. Firm-sided,of heavy card stock,the two-drawer chest features curved bombe front,sides and back and has shaped top; with original lithographed paper cover to simulate inlay designs in the 18th century Boulle fashion,with brass drawer pulls,and cast brass fancy feet and trim. The cabinet originated as a luxury candy box,with the clever intention of later use as an accessory for dolls. French,circa 1875.
