Description
25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head with very chubby dimpled cheeks, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted upper lashes, one stroke tapered brows, rounded nose, closed mouth modeled as though open with shaded lips, bobbed brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1428 15. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1912. Value Points: very rare grand size of the wonderfully-sculpted character with superb modeling of laughter lines and dimples, wonderful antique sailor costume.
