14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral threaded inset paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with delicately-shaped lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with one-piece arms and gusset-jointing at hips and knees, bisque forearms with separately sculpted fingers, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2/0 (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his first bebe model, circa 1877. Value Points: especially beautiful bebe with choicest bisque and brilliant eyes, sturdy original body and perfect hands.
