12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of lady with side-tilted head, modeled bosom, sculpted dark brown hair waved loosely from face into coiled braid, fully-sculpted pierced ears, enamel eyes, slight smile, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted blue stockings and red outlined tan clogs, wearing original costume comprising velvet bodice, red cotton skirt with silk banding, silk apron. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s, especially beguiling facial expression.
