11" (28 cm.) Carved wooden head with plumper childlike face, black painted hair with side-part and defined sidelock curls, carved and painted facial features, firmly-stuffed body, wooden arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, circa 1920. Value Points: rare model is wearing a homespun cream tunic with soutache trim, over white cotton undersuit, striped cotton leggings with blue stripes, woven slippers with cord edging.
