Description
Appropriate for display with dolls having waist of 14"-18". A carved wooden horse head with hide cover has glass eyes, leather harness, ears, is flanked by an elaborate leather harness decorated with silver mounts and bells, and leather flowers and is attached to braided cords. A French toy of the late 1800s, the leather strap was designed to be tied around a child's waist, and the reins held by another in a game of "Giddy-up Horsey". Excellent condition, appropriately sized for display on dolls having waist of 14"-18". French, circa 1890.
