17"l. x 14"h. x 13"d. A large wooden trunk with black canvas cover and brass decorations opens to interior with padded gold fabric trimmed with handmade rick-rack lining the inside lid and two-tiered lift-out trays covered in matching paper cover. At the bottom are two attached bonnet stands. The trunk contains an array of various doll costumes and accessories highlighted by a fine muslin gown with applique stars (matching costume of doll #888), various undergarments, capes, pillows, and such. The brass plate on the lid is inscribed "Netten" and there are various travel stickers. Excellent condition. Circa 1860.
