Description
9 1/2" (24 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head with ruddy complexion, sculpted short brown curly hair, enamel eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown shoes with red buckles, wearing homespun pants, shirt, jacket with red edging, and holding a carved wooden donkey on base. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
