8" (20 cm.) Paper mache head with sculpted grey hair and painted facial features, brown eyes, grey sculpted brows, closed mouth, paper mache hands and feet, wearing early multi-layered costume with bonnet, shawl, spectacles and with a basket of wares. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: mid-19th century. Value Points: wonderful wares including little dolls, carved bone accessories such as opera glasses, paper journal, silver miniatures and more. Presented on a velvet-covered wooden base under a glass dome.
