Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Jumeau 10 (incised, and red checkmarks, head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the rare incised mark, circa 1888. Value Points: the lovely brown-eyed bebe has fine luminous bisque, original body and body finish, antique silk dress, undergarments, silk bonnet, Jumeau socks, leather shoes with silk rosettes signed with full figure of doll and "10".
