All-wooden character with swivel head, jointing at shoulders and hips, and rare additional jointing at elbows and knees, painted short brown hair, painted facial features including spectacles with chain, bushy moustache, painted teeth, painted brown boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1909, Teddy from the firm’s Teddy’s Adventures in Africa Series. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved original painted finish to hair and face, rare body, wearing original safari costume along with original cartridge belt and pistol, and rifle with strap.
