Description
16" (41 cm.) l. x 14"h. x 10"d. The wooden shop has painted decorative details and an unusual decoration of paper mache formed meats at the center cornice, with marbled paper counter, and with 24 various hanging cuts of meat. Along with a large chopping block, and with two paper mache figures, one the butcher, and the other his assistant, each with sculpted costumes, hair and facial features, including his cap. Condition: very good/excellent, original finish overall albeit finish is a bit rubbed. Marks: (Hacker logo paper label). Comments: Germany, Christian Hacker, circa 1890. Value Points: rare signed early miniature shop with original contents and people.
