18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted blonde hair with detailed forelock curl, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips with suggestion of tongue tip, two porcelain upper teeth, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JDK made in Germany 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, the doll is known as "Baby Jean". Value Points: wide-eyed character with well-rendered delighted expression achieved by deeply-impressed dimples in cheeks and at corners of mouth, very fine quality of bisque.
