Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) doll. 11" x 13" box. Presented in original box with lithographed paper cover and original label "Ma Poupee et Son Trousseau" on the lid, is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, four tiny teeth, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing pink rayon dress in the flapper style, along with an additional dress and cap, coat and cap, petticoat, jump rope and bowling pins, along with a paper note "Je m'habille et me de'shabille" (I can dress and undress). Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1078 Germany (doll). Comments: for the French market, circa 1918. Value Points: charming ensemble in fine unplayed with original state of preservation.
