Description
14" (36 cm.) H. x 11" x 11". A very ornate arrangement of 18-karat gold plate supports a rose silk tufted cushion upon which is arranged a wedding coronet of wax orange blossoms. Decorative motifs of the gilded frame include winged dove, roses, fans, ivy leaves and geometrics, each symbolizing a wish for a newly married couple's marriage. There are six beveled mirrors. The arrangement rests upon an ebony wooden square frame with four-sided blown glass globe. French, circa 1885. Excellent condition.
