Description
6" (15 cm.) The sculpted stage-like setting has ebony black frame and is set with intriguing scenes, the upper tableau appearing as a joined pair of bearded men, and the lower depicting a bearded man in rocking chair faced by a black child. A carved man with beard and cap, and a woman in long gown are carved at the sides. Excellent condition. Mid-1800s, an intriguing miniature folk art carving.
