19" (48 cm.) Paper mache socket head depicting adult man, painted hair, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, strongly shaped nose, sculpted moustache with curled tips, closed mouth, paper mache body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1890. Value Points: pristine condition of the handsome gentleman, sculpted moustache, wearing original woolen uniform and cap, brass buttons, boots.
