11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head of plump-faced man with generous double chin, bald pate, thick brows, enamel eyes, smiling expression with row of painted teeth with impressed lines at sides of lips, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden hands and lower legs with defined wrinkled leggings and black shoes with white buckles, wearing striped green pants and jacket, white shirt, silk vest with lacing, neck wrap, silk sash and carrying basket of vegetables. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
