Description
2" (5 cm.) each cone, 5" box diameter. A circular cardpaste box with rich lithograph on the lid depicting the baptism in the French court, contains inside 20 paper cornets with silk ribbons, metallic embossed borders and varying lithographed images. The cornets, designed to hold candy, were traditionally presented to guests at baptisms. A rare miniature size may be store sample or special presentation set as the cornets appear never to have been used. Excellent condition. French, circa 1885.
