20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: j made in Germany 13 128 (head) Excelsior Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1895. Value Points: rarer model, especially as closed mouth variation, having original wig, pate, Excelsior body, body finish, original family costume and leather boots.
