16" (41 cm.) h. x 11"w. x 6"d. The upright desk, finished in ebony black with gilt accent scenes in the Chinoiserie genre, features a hinged drop-front writing desk with leather writing surface above three full-width drawers having bronze pulls and is fitted elaborately on the interior with cubicles, niches and drawers finished in red lacquer with gilt accents. French, maitrise model from the mid-1900s, in the 1860s style, with exquisite detail of cabinetry and finish.
