17" (43 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulder head with black painted hair having detailed stippling around the face, black enamel eyes, painted facial features, open mouth, upper and lower square cut teeth, kid fashion body with shapely torso, gusset-jointed hips, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent, some typical age wear on complexion. Comments: for the French market, circa 1860, the doll wears early gown and undergarments.
