8" (20 cm.) Carved wooden man, socket head, jointing at shoulders, elbows and hips, sculpted and painted grey hair, moustache and beard, painted ruddy complexion, brown eyes, wearing wooden suit with leather belt, woven hat, binoculars. Condition: generally excellent, legs may be replaced. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1909, the figure depicts the Great Guide from Teddy’s Adventures in Africa series. Value Points: rare to find with wonderful detail of sculpted beard and hair.
