Description
17" (43 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with solid dome, black enamel inset eyes, painted features, elongated throat, original flax wig, slender kid body with wooden lower arms and legs, painted shoes. Condition: very good, original finish with some fading of features, nose rub. Comments: Germany, circa 1850, the doll wears its original folklore costume with metallic thread bodice and fringed shawl, beautiful chintz edging on inside of skirt and petticoat.
