22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with pear-shaped face, plump cheeks and throat, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, ash-blonde mohair wig over pate, French composition eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere rim. Condition: Generally excellent, Marks: Sch (in shield) 3 (head) Sch (stamp on bottom of derriere rim). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: beautiful plump-faced bebe with lovely bisque and fine clarity of eyes, original body and body finish, fine antique costume and leather shoes.
