Description
8" (20 cm.) The fantasy bisque object features an egg supported by tree branches, with brown-complexioned boy holding a squirming piglet bursting from the egg top; the boy with especially fine detail of characterization including side-glancing intaglio eyes, laughing expression, frizzy hair, and the white piglet with pink painted snout. The top of egg removes for access to the candy container jar. The base has blue stamp and impressed marks of Gebruder Heubach. Germany, circa 1910.
