Description
4" (10 cm.) Each is one-piece carved wooden figure of chubby cheerful child, having gofun white complexion finish, painted features, one with bald pate and side locks, one with black silk fiber hair and playing with hobby horse, and one with bald pate and painted presentation bow at the crown. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (signature lettering on the base of each). Comments: each wears its original orange silk embroidered kimono and is posed on original signed base, Meiji era, late 1800s. Value Points: delightful size of the cheerful children, each with rare accessory such as presentation ribbon.
