17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, very full cheeks and throat, almond-shaped brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, curved kid arms, bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent except left hand which is restored. Marks: (circle dot) 5T (right shoulderplate) Bru Jne (left shoulderplate) Bte SGDG (forehead). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the model known as "circle/dot", circa 1880. Value Points: pretty plump-faced bebe with very full cheeks and throat, original body, antique silk costume, undergarments, and black leather shoes marked "B" in oval and "5".
