19" (48 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head depicting an aged man with impressed age wrinkles, very elongated nose, thick sculpted grey brows, painted eyes, closed mouth with accented lips, grey wiry hair under cap, muslin body, composition lower arms and legs, painted boots, wearing original flannel coat. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1885. Value Points: rare character portrayal in wonderfully preserved condition.
