16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted short brown boyish hair, painted blue eyes, white eye dots, black and incised eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth in wide beaming smile, row of sculpted teeth and tiny tongue tip, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R.A. (and symbol). Comments: Theodore Recknagel, circa 1910. Value Points: rare model with wonderful detail of sculpting and delightful smile, wonderful antique costume.
