24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and throat, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, incised eyeliner, rose-blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined tongue tip, outlined and shaded lips, dimpled chin pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: bisque excellent, body is not original but is appropriately sized and of the same era. Marks: Bru Jne 12 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Bru, circa 1885, on Jumeau body. Value Points: beautiful face with well-defined modeling of features including sought after tongue-tip, wearing fine antique costume of white cotton with lace detail, ruffled lace and silk ribbon frou-frou bonnet, undergarments, socks shoes.
