Description
13" (33 cm.) h. Polychromed terra cotta donkey with painted dark grey and cream hide, patches of cream around the eyes and muzzle, enamel eyes, defined tail, mane, nostrils and ears, and posed on original base with woven blankets and harness. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s/early 1800s, attributed to Francesco Gallo who was a modeler at the Royal Porcelain Factory specializing in animals.
