Description
8" (20 cm.) Carved wooden man, socket head, jointed arms and legs, painted brown complexion, black hair under attached patterned cotton turban, painted eyes, black brows, closed mouth with pronounced lips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1909, from Teddy’s Adventures in Africa series. Value Points: rare character in well-preserved condition, with original turban, pants with sash, and carrying wooden drum and drumsticks.
