Description
12" (30 cm.) -17". Each is of firm earthenware with well-sculpted facial features and hair, each depicting a smiling gentle-faced person, two with cloth bodies and earthenware hands and feet, and the smaller with a stuffed pincushion style body, and each is wearing its original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: created by Baroness Tamara Steinheil, circa 1930s; Steinheil was a charter member of NIADA. Value Points: rare to find early artist dolls with excellent characterization.
