10" (25 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very plump cheeks, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark painted eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid upper arms, bisque lower arms and hands, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6/0 (head, and remnants of original Bru label on body). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1878, tiniest size of the premiere model of Bru bebe. Value Points: rare early model bebe in most charming size, has captivating expression, and is perfectly preserved with sturdy body, perfect bisque hands, beautiful complexion.
