19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, amber-brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thick brushstroked brows with decorative glaze and feathered highlights, rose blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with shaded outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, little flake on left ear lobe. Marks: R 1 D. Comments: Rabery and Delphieu, circa 1888. Value Points: the brown eyes and their rich brow and lash decoration beautifully contrast a delicate creamy bisque, original body and body finish, antique costume and bonnet may be original, undergarments, French leather shoes marked L.I.
