16" (41 cm.) Cloth swivel head with hard-pressed and painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes with shaded detail and white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, side painted lashes, single- stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral lower lip, two accent dots at bottom lip, brunette mohair wig, muslin body with shoulder and hip jointing, celluloid hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Poupees Venus Paris (paper label). Comments: France, circa 1930. Value Points: fine unplayed with condition, lovely face and painting, elaborate original folklore costume of Alsace including coiffe.
