17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head, blonde sculpted hair with two clusters of graduated-length finger curls at the forehead, then hair drawn back and held by three interwoven bands of darkest blue ribbon, long ringlet curls at each side of head, and two tiers of short finger curls at the back, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, sculpted and painted white necklace, kid body with gusset jointing, leather arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include elaborate coiffure, glass eyes, modeled necklace.
