Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, arched brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2/0 (head) F.G. 2/0 (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: in fine unplayed with condition, beautiful face and near mint body, the poupee has original costume of Normandy nanny and is carrying small bisque doll in lavish antique baby costume.
