22" (56 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed bebe body, bisque lower arms, lovely antique costume with cutwork detail, undergarments, ruffled bonnet, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, tiniest flake at right inner eye rim, left baby finger broken, body very sturdy. Marks: (circle dot symbol) 8 (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1880. Value Points: early period Bru bebe with wonderfully developed facial modeling, choice bisque, original body.
