11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head with three faces that are alternately revealed by turning the knob at the head crown, one a smiling face with blue glass eyes and closed mouth; the other a crying face with squinting blue glass eyes and sculpted tears, and the third a crying face with sculpted closed eyes; the head enclosed in a shoulder plate hood, with carton torso and composition and wooden jointed lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C.B. Comments: Carl Bergner, circa 1890. Value Points: well-modeled faces, original tears, rare smallest size of the doll.
