23" (58 cm.) All-cloth doll with oil-painted bobbed hair and bangs, painted complexion and features, brown eyes with dark eyeliner, painted lashes, fringed brows, little pug nose, closed mouth, stitch-jointed limbs, oil-painted features, bare feet, antique costume. Condition: original painting albeit some craquelure to finish. Marks: (faint Ella Smith mark). Comments: Alabama Baby, from the studio workshops of Ella Smith, circa 1915. Value Points: rare model with excellent detail of hair and features.
